The short version. AstroSutra readings are for guidance, reflection, and entertainment. They are not medical, psychological, legal, financial, or investment advice. They are not predictions of guaranteed future events. Decisions about your health, money, relationships, or legal matters should always be taken with input from a qualified professional, not a horoscope.
1. Nature of the service
AstroSutra produces personalised written interpretations based on your Vedic birth chart and the question you ask. These interpretations draw on classical astrological principles — planetary positions, houses, dashas, yogas, transits — and are written with the help of modern AI. The result is a perspective, not a prophecy.
Astrology, in our view, is a language for self-reflection. It can illuminate patterns, suggest timing, and offer frames of meaning. It cannot tell you with certainty what will happen, when it will happen, or what you should do.
2. For guidance and entertainment only
All readings, reports, charts, and interpretations on AstroSutra are provided for guidance, personal reflection, and entertainment purposes only. Use them the way you might use a thoughtful conversation with a wise friend — as input to your own thinking, never as a replacement for it.
3. Not professional advice
Nothing on this site or in any reading constitutes professional advice. In particular:
- Medical & mental health. AstroSutra is not a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist, or counsellor. If you are unwell, in pain, or in distress, please consult a qualified healthcare professional. Do not delay or avoid medical treatment because of anything in a reading.
- Legal. AstroSutra is not a lawyer. For any legal question, consult a qualified advocate licensed in your jurisdiction.
- Financial & investment. AstroSutra is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or financial planner. Do not buy, sell, or hold any asset, security, business, or property based on a reading. Always consult a qualified financial professional.
- Career & major life decisions. A reading may help you think — it should not make the decision for you. Consider relevant facts, expert input, and the views of trusted people in your life.
4. No guarantees of accuracy or outcomes
We work hard to produce thoughtful readings, but we do not guarantee that any prediction, observation, or recommendation in a reading will turn out to be accurate or beneficial. Astrology is interpretive. Real lives are shaped by countless factors — your choices, your environment, sheer chance — that no chart can fully capture.
The accuracy of a reading also depends entirely on the accuracy of the birth details you provide. Even a few minutes of difference in birth time can shift important features of the chart. Please double-check your birth time against an official record (birth certificate or hospital record) wherever possible.
5. Mental and emotional well-being
If you are in crisis, experiencing thoughts of self-harm, or in an unsafe situation, please reach out immediately to a qualified professional or to a recognised helpline. In India, you can contact iCall (9152987821), Vandrevala Foundation (1860-2662-345), or your local emergency services. AstroSutra is not equipped to provide crisis support and a reading is not an appropriate response to an emergency.
6. AI-assisted output
The text of a reading is generated with the help of large language models guided by classical Vedic frameworks and our own astrological logic. AI systems can occasionally produce sentences that are repetitive, oddly phrased, or factually imprecise on non-astrological matters. If anything in a reading does not make sense, please reach out to contact@astrosutra.in and we will look at it.
7. Cultural and religious context
Vedic astrology (Jyotisha) is a tradition that has developed over thousands of years across many schools of thought. Different astrologers, lineages, and texts will sometimes interpret the same chart differently. AstroSutra reflects one careful interpretation; it does not claim to be the only valid one. We welcome differing perspectives and treat the tradition with respect.
8. Personal responsibility
You alone are responsible for the decisions you take in your life. By using AstroSutra, you agree that any choice you make after reading a chart — whether about relationships, work, money, health, or anything else — is your choice, taken with your own judgment and at your own risk. AstroSutra and Rank First Technologies are not liable for the consequences of any action or inaction taken on the basis of a reading.
9. No discrimination
We do not use astrology to label people as inferior, lucky, unlucky, “manglik”, or otherwise. Our readings are written to support self-understanding, not to judge or stigmatise anyone. We do not provide compatibility verdicts that recommend rejecting a person on the basis of caste, gotra, manglik dosha, or similar grounds. Our work focuses on what genuinely helps you reflect.
10. Third-party content
AstroSutra may occasionally link to or reference external articles, videos, or texts. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content of any third-party site or resource.
11. Changes to this disclaimer
We may revise this disclaimer from time to time as our service evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the service means you accept the latest version.
12. Acknowledgement
By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or otherwise using AstroSutra, you confirm that you have read this disclaimer, that you understand it, and that you accept its terms.
13. Contact us
If you have any question about this disclaimer or anything in a reading, write to us. We always reply.
