The short version. Your first question on AstroSutra is free. Use it to judge the depth, accuracy, and tone of our readings. If you’re happy, continue with a paid plan. If you’re not, simply do not purchase. Once a paid plan is purchased, the amount is non-refundable because the reading is generated and delivered the moment you ask.
1. Why we have this policy
Every AstroSutra reading is custom-generated using your personal Vedic birth chart and the specific question you ask. The moment you submit a paid question, our system performs astronomical calculations, produces a written interpretation, and delivers it to your dashboard. That work cannot be reversed or resold to anyone else. Because of this, we structure things so you never have to pay before you know whether you like the service.
2. The free first question
When you create an AstroSutra account, you receive one free question. This is not a teaser, a sample, or a preview — it is a complete, full-length reading drawn from your real birth chart, identical in quality to any paid reading on the platform.

- Use it to decide whether AstroSutra is right for you.
This free reading replaces the need for refunds. You see exactly what you’re paying for before you pay anything.
3. No-refund policy on paid plans
Once you purchase any paid plan or top-up — Single Star, multi-question packs, monthly plans, or any other product offered on the site — the payment is final and non-refundable. This applies whether or not the questions in the plan have been used.
By purchasing a plan, you confirm that you have already used (or chosen to skip) your free question and that you are satisfied with the quality of AstroSutra’s readings.
4. What is not eligible for a refund
The following are not grounds for a refund:
- Disagreement with the interpretation or guidance in the reading.
- Unused questions remaining in a plan when it expires.
- Outcomes in your life that did or did not match the reading. Astrology is interpretive guidance, not a guarantee of future events — see our Disclaimer.
- Change of mind after the question has been submitted and the reading generated.
- Failure to use the plan within its validity period.
- Any reason of personal preference not covered in section 5 below.
5. The narrow exceptions
We will issue a refund — or, at our discretion, account credit of equal value — only in these specific situations:
- Duplicate charge. Your bank or the payment gateway charged you twice for the same order due to a technical error.
- Payment without delivery. Your payment was successful but, due to a verifiable system failure on our side, no reading was generated and our team is unable to deliver it within 7 days.
- Unauthorised transaction. A charge was made on your card or UPI without your authorisation, and you have raised the issue with your bank as well as with us.
To request a refund under one of these exceptions, email contact@astrosutra.in within 7 days of the charge with your order ID, the date of the transaction, and a brief explanation. We respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 7–10 business days, depending on your bank.
6. Cancellations
You can cancel any active recurring plan at any time from your dashboard or by writing to us. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund the current billing period. You retain access to the questions remaining in the current period until it ends.
One-time purchases (single readings, packs, or top-ups) cannot be cancelled once the question has been submitted, because the reading is generated immediately.
7. Account closure
You may close your AstroSutra account at any time. Closing the account does not refund any unused balance or questions in a paid plan. If you wish to use your remaining questions, please do so before requesting account closure.
8. Chargebacks
We ask that you write to us first if anything goes wrong. We almost always sort it out faster than a bank dispute. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us — particularly for a reading that was successfully delivered — may result in your account being suspended pending investigation. We cooperate fully with bank investigations and provide complete delivery logs as evidence.
9. Promotional credits and free questions
Free questions, promotional credits, and gifted readings have no cash value and are not refundable or transferable. Where a plan includes “bonus” questions, those bonus questions are not separately refundable even within the exceptions listed in section 5.
10. Pricing changes
We may change the price of plans from time to time. Any price change applies only to new purchases made after the change. It does not affect plans you have already paid for.
11. Force majeure
We are not liable for failures or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to internet outages, payment-gateway downtime, government action, natural disasters, or upstream AI provider failures. In genuine cases of extended downtime, we may extend the validity of your active plan to compensate.
12. Updates to this policy
We may revise this Refund Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
